Aberdour Silversands to and around some of Burntisland and Burntisland Harbour 06-08-2026 with my dog Olly This is a Robert A Hunter Video The video is in 4k so please make sure your Youtube settings is at it`s highest setting so you can view the video at it`s best. I use my large class 3 mobility scooters (A Kymco Maxer) with my dog Olly to do the walk. I started my walk as usual from Silver Sands Aberdour. This time I went to the west from the car park first instead of my usual East route. The route to the west is a dead end but has a building called The Boathouse and a little further on there`s Ha Lighthouse a small lighthouse. There is also a track over the hill to Hawkcraig House, Aberdour Harbour and Black Sands but it is not suitable for me on my mobility scooter. There is also parking for Caravanettes along this road. I had done this track a lot of decades when I was more able to walk. What I remember is that there are sharp steps on the other side next to Hawkcraig House. I then turned around and headed back, passed my car, passed the Sands Café then onto the coastal path to Burntisland and beyond. I headed to Burntisland High Street then onto the Links and Burntisland Beach. There are 3 entrances under the railway onto the path around the beach, though there is only one of the 3 entrances accessible to mobility scooters, wheelchair and child buggies etc. I went from one end of the beach path to the other, then up a roads called North View and South View. These roads and houses overlooking the Forth of Firth and what left of Burntisland Harbour. There is only one way in and out of here. From there I went along E Leven Street and then W Leven Street, and down to Burntisland Railway Station then around some of Burntisland Harbour. Then back up Lothian Street then along W Broomhill Road then around some of the streets following on from there. Rossend Castle is also along here on the left. I followed the roads down to Haugh Rd Play Park. There is also a path the left of the park which takes you to under the railway line to the coastal path between Aberdour and Burntisland, which we will be heading along shortly, back to Aberdour.
