Stil; : Viking folk metal, folk metal, cinematic metal The Sea King's Trial Verse I From Asgard's halls the raven flew, Through iron clouds and skies of blue. The herald came with the All-Father's word, And Kalypso bowed though her heart was stirred. Ten winters lost on a distant shore, Yet the wanderer's spirit broke no more. With axe-scarred hands he shaped the pine, To challenge fate and the salt sea's spine. Pre-Chorus The wind was cold, the sea was wide, But home still burned beyond the tide. Chorus HEAVE! HEAVE! Strike the waves and never yield! HEAVE! HEAVE! Iron hearts become our shield! Though gods bring thunder, storm, and flame, The North remembers the warrior's name! Verse II Eighteen dawns the raft rode free, Across the back of the endless sea. Then Scheria rose from the ocean mist, A promised shore that could not be missed. But deep below in his coral hall, The Sea-God heard the gulls' harsh call. Poseidon rose with hatred untamed, And cursed the hero that he blamed. Pre-Chorus Black clouds gathered, the heavens cried, The mountains of water began to rise. Chorus HEAVE! HEAVE! Strike the waves and never yield! HEAVE! HEAVE! Iron hearts become our shield! Though gods bring thunder, storm, and flame, The North remembers the warrior's name! Bridge The mast was broken! The sail was torn! The sea devoured what he had borne! The thunder laughed! The deep sea roared! Yet still he battled with naked sword! Verse III When death stood waiting in foaming white, A spirit emerged from the stormy night. Leukothea, bright as the moon, Sang ancient words in a solemn tune. "Cast away fear, cast away pride, Trust in the strength that lives inside." Through crashing waves and the darkness vast, The warrior endured the tempest's blast. Battle Chorus HEAVE! HEAVE! The sea shall never claim our soul! HEAVE! HEAVE! The Norns still guide us to our goal! Blood on the water! Fire in the sky! A true son of warriors never dies! Verse IV Upon the shore of the Phaeacian land, He crawled from death on trembling hands. Athena's shadow walked beside, A silent wolf through the turning tide. Then Nausikaa, fair and strong, Found the stranger worn and gone. She led him forth through gate and flame, To halls where honor crowned his name. Final Chorus HEAVE! HEAVE! Strike the waves and never yield! HEAVE! HEAVE! Iron hearts become our shield! From shattered wood to a kingly throne, The wanderer marches toward his home! HEAVE! HEAVE! Raise your horns into the sky! HEAVE! HEAVE! For heroes never truly die! Outro Sing of the storm. Sing of the sea. Sing of the man who would not flee. The gods may test, The gods may reign, But a warrior's spirit breaks no chain
