A huge thank you to my friend Rasti for sharing his mom's chocolate cake recipe with me, and a huge thank you to his mom for discovering the best chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. This cake lives rent-free in my head more than I care to admit. I expected baking a wedding-related cake to be stressful, but I really took my time, and it ended up being such a meditative day. It helps make it less stressful that I can freeze the cake for up to a month and defrost in the fridge the day before the wedding!
