The clock on the wall has been counting all afternoon, and now it reaches five. Nobody looks up. The last of the sun is coming in low across the counter, the lamps are not on yet, and the hour goes by the way it always does here — quietly, and without being asked to. Autumn at Kissaten KOHAKU, in that short stretch of the day when the light turns amber and stays.
☕ About this café: "Kissaten" (純喫茶) are old-fashioned Japanese coffee houses from the Shōwa era — warm lamplight, velvet chairs, cream soda, and jazz on vinyl. KOHAKU ("amber") is our little imaginary kissaten, set in 1973, where time moves a little slower.
🎵 90 minutes of nostalgic Japanese kissaten jazz — mellow piano trio, warm analog sound, and soft vinyl crackle. Instrumental throughout. Good for working, studying, reading, or simply letting the evening arrive.
📻 New videos 4x a week — Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, 8AM JST.
