SHABBAT SHALOM, MY YESHUA Verse 1 As the sun sinks low beyond the hills, And evening paints the sky, I lay aside my earthly cares, And lift my heart on high. Six days I've walked the busy roads, With much upon my mind, But now I turn my heart to You, And leave the world behind. Pre-Chorus Not just a day upon the page, Not just a law to keep, But precious hours with my Beloved, A promise rich and deep. Chorus Shabbat Shalom, my Yeshua, My Bridegroom and my King, I bring to You my grateful heart, My love, my everything. I cease my striving, rest in You, Your presence is my home. Shabbat Shalom, my Beloved, With You I'm not alone. Verse 2 You finished all creation's work, And blessed the seventh day, You called Your children to remember, To walk Your holy way. And on the cross You gave Your life, Your love poured out for me, You rested in the garden tomb, Then rose in victory. Pre-Chorus You said, "Come unto Me and rest," And here I come, my King, Not earning love by what I do, But resting in the love You bring. Chorus Shabbat Shalom, my Yeshua, My Bridegroom and my King, I bring to You my grateful heart, My love, my everything. I cease my striving, rest in You, Your presence is my home. Shabbat Shalom, my Beloved, With You I'm not alone. Bridge Remember the Sabbath, keep it holy, You whispered through Your Word. And love has taught my heart to listen, To treasure what I've heard. Not out of fear, not out of duty, But love that longs to stay, I set apart these sacred hours, To honour You this day. Oh, let me sit here at Your feet, And listen to Your voice, For in Your rest, my Bridegroom King, My heart has found its joy. Final Chorus Shabbat Shalom, my Yeshua, My faithful Bridegroom King, The seventh day reminds my heart Of all Your love can bring. I lay my burdens at Your feet, Your peace is flowing through. Shabbat Shalom, my Beloved, This day I give to You. Outro As the evening stars appear, My heart draws close to You. A sacred rest, a gift of love, A covenant so true. Shabbat Shalom, my Yeshua... My Bridegroom... I remember You.
