Car Thieves' Attempt To Outrun Helicopter Ends In A Disaster Flagler County deputies were alerted to a stolen silver Chevrolet Corvette entering their jurisdiction from Seminole County. Upon locating the vehicle parked at a gas station, deputies observed two individuals abandon the Corvette and attempt to flee in a secondary vehicle. When the driver refused to stop, a high-speed pursuit ensued across Palm Coast, tracked by the Sheriff's Office FireFlight helicopter. After deputies deployed stop sticks to puncture the fleeing vehicle's tires, all three occupants abandoned the car in a residential area and fled on foot into thick brush. With the assistance of a K-9 unit, officers successfully tracked down and apprehended all three suspects.
