This time it's a Chaldron wagons from Accurascale and to say these things are tiny is an understatement. It's not all about size though and they certainly make up for it in detail! These wagons really stemmed from the very dawn of the railways yet many survived in use up until 60s so the Chaldrons really can fit in on a wide range of layouts. Incredibly these models don't use tension lock couplings (simply because they would dwarf the model) and Accurascale have opted for a magnetic chain instead which works very well. With this being similar to using three link couplings, there is the possibility that propelling these wagons over sharp curves and points could cause derailments. I decided to be extra cruel and put this to the test on Pickwick Yard, my old shunting layout made out of secondhand setrack and points. How did the Accurascale Chaldons get on?
