The Iron Warriors: Perturabo's Legion of Siege Masters | Warhammer 40K Lore

The Iron Warriors were never the Legion people dreamed about. While other Legions earned glory through noble deeds, heroic victories, or the admiration of the Imperium, the Fourth Legion was sent to break the fortresses that others could not conquer. Under Perturabo, the Iron Warriors became masters of siege warfare, attrition, and the grinding campaigns nobody else wanted. But centuries of sacrifice, rivalry, and resentment left their Primarch convinced that the Imperium had never truly valued him or his Legion. When the Horus Heresy began, the Iron Warriors turned their talents against the very empire they had helped build. From the horrors of Olympia and the betrayal at Isstvan V to the Siege of Terra and the wars that followed, this is the story of Perturabo and the Legion that chose iron over loyalty.
