"Preston's Twenty-Four Country Dances for the Year 1794 (Preston & Son), 1794.
Kentish Hops [in one volume] collected and arranged by A. Simmons (reprinted by C. Lockhart & D. Jones). The bitter-tasting plant was used to balance the sweetness of malt in the production of beer. By the late 18th century, it was the basis of a substantial indutry in Kent, where the famous "Golding" variety was developed and cultivated. Bert Simmons revived the dance in his aptly name collection."
