Jeep Wrangler Sway Bar Disconnect Stuck “In Progress” | Simple Fix That Worked

Sway bar disconnect stuck on “Sway Bar Disconnect In Progress” on your Jeep Wrangler? That’s exactly what happened on our 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. Before replacing the electronic sway bar disconnect assembly or paying someone to diagnose it, I went through a few simple troubleshooting steps—including checking the electrical connection, inspecting the connector and wiring, checking the related fuses, cleaning and reseating the connection, and protecting it with dielectric grease. In this video I show exactly what I checked, how I accessed the sway bar disconnect from the top of the Jeep, and an alternate view from underneath that may be useful depending on your bumper, skid plate, or winch setup. Best part: the fix worked. I waited about 2½ weeks before finishing this video, and my wife has been daily-driving the Jeep with no recurrence of the problem. The sway bar has continued connecting and disconnecting normally. This is simply what worked on our Jeep and is not an official Mopar/Stellantis diagnostic procedure.
