My father told me very seriously more than 30 years ago: You can explore a variety of things in music, but don’t forget that everything started with the guzheng… For decades, I have been following my father's teachings and trying to do my best in every exploration... In fact, I know that my father most hopes that I can achieve something in Guzheng, and he likes to watch me play Guzheng the most. No matter if it was a traditional piece or something random, he would always tell me that you play the piano a little weirdly and it’s always different from others… I would like to thank Mr. Liu Shun, the conductor of Guangdong Folk Music Orchestra, Mr. Cao, who always said that I looked sloppy, and all the musicians of Guangdong Folk Music Orchestra for their joint efforts to let me complete this piece - Morning Dew My father passed away four years ago today. Then I started a new chapter in my music creation, hoping to use my knowledge of the guzheng and the mastery of contemporary music language to start the creation of (The Rite of Spring)... (Morning Dew) is one of the chapters. The performance of the guzheng is completely improvised, and the performers of the folk music orchestra play strictly according to the score.
