Hi, this is Scott with etrailer, and today we're taking a look at our Hellwig rear sway bar kit for our 2024 Ford F-150. Installing a rear sway bar on the back of your truck is gonna help with towing. It's really gonna stabilize when you are pulling the trailer down the road. It'll get rid of a lot of that sway and that body roll that you get when you're pulling heavier trailers. It's gonna end up working with your front sway bar, and get rid of all of that body roll when you're going through corners. And it's gonna also kinda help with braking, and really equalize your truck. So say you're going through a corner and you've got your trailer on back, and it feels a little unstable in the rear, this is gonna help get rid of that. And even when you're not pulling the trailer, the rear sway bar is really gonna help add to the handling of your truck all the way around. It's not really just for towing, it's gonna give you a better handling feel and more road feel, even when you're not pulling. As far as installation goes for this kit, it's really straightforward. It's gonna have everything you need to get it installed in the kit. Really, all you need is some sockets and maybe some wrenches to get it done, and probably you're gonna need a torque wrench definitely to make sure you have everything correct. One of the things I will recommend though, is maybe having an extra set of hands, 'cause sometimes things can get a little different trying to get your brackets in place and trying to hold your U-bolts at the same time. So it may help having a buddy with you to do it. If it's something you're interested in installing, stick around our watch our video and we'll help you get it installed. To start our installation, we're gonna take our handle nut and we're gonna take a clevis, and we're gonna take the shorter bolt in our kit. We're gonna have to get these mounted up to the frame, just over here, kind of towards the front. And we'll show you how we're getting that installed. At this downward portion of our frame, we're gonna have this oval pole. We're gonna have an access point right here. We're gonna take our handle nut, we're gonna have to bend our handle nut a little bit just so we can get it to go up into that spot. This can be a little tricky, so just take your time, fish it through, and you can feel it slide through, and that'll be able to. And I'm going to be using my finger to hold it in place. Now we got some Loctite on our bolt that came with the kit. We just wanna get it started into our handle nut. This may take you a few tries, it can be a little tricky to do this part, but just be patient and you'll get it done. The trick to these is you're gonna wanna get the handle nut bent just right to where you're getting the the square part of the handle nut to lay flat. And then once you get that you'll be able to get it started, and then just run it up with your fingers just to hold it in place. We are gonna come back and torque everything down after we get it installed. Once we have both sides started and in place, we're gonna come back through and torque these two down to the torque specifications in our instruction manual. You're gonna wanna try and hold it as straight as you can, but once you get it pretty tight, it should hold still for you. (torque wrench beeps) Once you have these torqued down on both sides, you're gonna have this piece of wire hanging outta your frame. You can either snip it off with a pair of wire cutters or you can just bend it back and forth, and just keep moving it back and forth and it should pop off for you. Now we can start building our end links. We have our threaded rod with our loop end on it, and we have our piece that's gonna thread together. What we wanna do first is we wanna get our jam nut installed on our threaded rod, and just get that rundown on there. Okay. Now we can thread our rod into the other end of our link. And for now, just get a few threads in there. We are gonna be able to adjust it later how we want it, but for now we just wanna get them put together. Now we have our bushings. We're gonna get a little bit of the lube, a little bit of this grease that we got in our kit, and I'm just gonna put some on the end of it. This is gonna help when we try and push them together here in our vice. Plus it's gonna h
