Rachmaninoff's Suite in E, based on Bach's Partita BWV 1006 for solo violin, performed by Adam Skoumal, accompanied by an animated graphical score. FAQ Q: Where can I get this recording? A: Here (tracks 7/8/9): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ZG0RVM/ Q: Where can I learn more about the performer? A: Here: http://www.skoumal.cz/ Q: What do the colors signify? A: The red notes are played with the right hand and the green notes are played with the left hand; the notes outlined in white are the notes of the original violin solo that Rachmaninoff's transcription is based on. Q: Where can I hear the original version (for solo violin)? A: Here's my video of the first movement:    • Bach, Preludio, Partita in E Major, Lara S...   Q: Why isn't Adam Skoumal's name shown in the video? Who is Sara Spire? A: Sara Spire, it turns out, does not exist. She was invented by someone pretending to be Adina Spire — who also doesn't exist. The fraudster sold pirated recordings, claiming them to be based on performances directed by Adina Spire. As part of the scam, "Adina" published recordings by her "daughter," Sara, and gave me permission to use one: the one used in this video. When I learned that "Adina Spire" did not exist, I tried to figure out whose recording it actually was, but was unable to. However, in 2023, I tried again, and found that it was Adam Skoumal's recording. It's not possible to change the credit in the video without deleting the video (and its comments), so I've left it as-is (with Skoumal's permission.
