Then you try it yourself… and suddenly those feet have a completely different opinion. 😄 What you're watching is Šestorka — “Oj, lele, stara planino,” performed by the National Ensemble KOLO in Belgrade. ------------------------------------ The dance is connected with the song Oj, lele, stara planino — a song about Stara Planina, the old mountain, remembered through walking its slopes and tending sheep with a girl. When Šestorka was presented by Ensemble KOLO ( www.KOLO.rs ) in 1955, the song was used as an introduction before the instrumental dance began. The dance has since been performed in different versions, with variations in its music and steps. ------------------------------------------------ And this is one of the fascinating things about Kolo.
