Don't Become Them — Hallowed Thunder | Official Music Video

“Don’t Become Them” is a dark alternative-rock song centered on the Sermon on the Mount: anger and contempt, retaliation, loving enemies, and righteousness that is not performed for an audience. The lyrics draw primarily from Matthew 5:21–22 and Matthew 5:38–48, especially Jesus’ teaching on retaliation and “love your enemies,” with the closing lines also reflecting Matthew 6:1–6.
