The dMAT gives you a 5x5 letter grid, one red question mark, and 75 seconds — with
no rough paper and no notes. Most people solve it like a Sudoku. That is the
mistake: the exam wants ONE cell, so you work backwards from the question mark.
In Part 3 we solve ten Latin Squares together, start to finish, from a direct
cross-read up to a five-fill chain harder than anything in the official practice
set. Every move is named, and every grid is solved the way the exam demands —
entirely in your head.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
The cross: the row and column read as ONE list — the first ten seconds of every grid
Four sightings: a letter placed four times has one home left
The trapped candidate, and why two candidates usually means one is stuck elsewhere
The busiest line: where to spend your first phantom fill
The column veto — the single most common wrong answer in this subtest
Phantom cells: derive, use, drop — never hold three letters at once
What to do when the cross is empty, and when to skip and guess (officially allowed)
