Watch the full discussion and discover key insights into the fundamentals of evolving data center cooling. As AI workloads continue to reshape data center infrastructure, cooling strategies are becoming a critical part of capacity planning, scalability, and sustainability. In this Level X BDIA panel discussion, Alok Dave, Cooling Product Manager at Legrand, joins industry experts to explore how cooling is evolving from a technical necessity into a strategic, sustainable, and operational consideration for modern data centers. The discussion explores: • Sustainability objectives for modern data centers → Know More on our CSR Roadmap: https://www.legrand.com/datacenter/gb... • Hybrid cooling approaches and evolving technologies → https://www.legrand.com/datacenter/gb... • The rise of megawatt-scale racks and their impact on infrastructure design → Meet us at DCW Singapore 2026, register now: Data Centre World Asia 2026 - https://www.gevme.com/DCWA26/?utm_sou... Legrand provides data center infrastructure spanning rack power, advanced cooling, and integrated critical infrastructure solutions. With local teams across the world dedicated to managing Legrand’s cooling portfolio, Legrand combines international expertise with an understanding of local data center requirements. Sustainability and ESG are core principles for Legrand. Through internal policies and technical expertise, Legrand addresses requirements for water and power efficiency while supporting transparency and compliance with local regulations. As operators navigate requirements such as the license to build and operate and the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), transparency and regulatory reporting are becoming increasingly important. The panel examines the shift from air cooling to hybrid and liquid cooling, driven by rising rack densities and increasingly power-intensive AI workloads. Rather than relying on a single technology, many operators are adopting hybrid approaches to bridge current AI requirements with technology readiness while maintaining flexibility for future growth. The discussion also covers Direct-to-Chip (On-Chip) cooling, including the fundamentals of single-phase and two-phase cooling, as well as immersion cooling and the practical considerations around deployment, maintenance, and serviceability. For Legrand, preparing data centers for AI is a holistic infrastructure challenge. Rack power, cooling, piping, and the interfaces between technical systems all need to work together. By tracking chip manufacturers’ roadmaps and future rack densities and power requirements, including developments such as 800V DC, Legrand works toward standardized and future-ready architectures. The “3 Ps” — Piping, Power, and Production — are also key considerations when preparing infrastructure for future scaling. Looking toward 2030, flexibility remains essential. As liquid cooling becomes increasingly important, data centers will still need to support air-cooled UPS systems and other essential servers. Designing infrastructure around evolving cooling requirements is therefore fundamental to building scalable, adaptable, and future-ready data centers. 🔎 Discover Legrand Data Center Cooling Solutions: https://www.legrand.com/datacenter/gb... 🌐 Learn more about Legrand Data Center Solutions: https://www.legrand.com/datacenter/gb-en 🔗 Follow Legrand Data Center Solutions on LinkedIn:   / legrand-data-center-solutions   We Go Further. #LegrandImprovingLives #Legrand #DataCenter #AI #HPC #CoolingSolutions #LiquidCooling #DirectToChipCooling #HybridCooling #ImmersionCooling #RackPower #800VDC #Sustainability #ESG #DataCenterInfrastructure #CriticalInfrastructure #HighDensityComputing #DataCenterCooling #AIInfrastructure
