Chito Rana$ - Runaway | 1950's Blues Version

🎙️🎷 Chito Rana$ – "Runaway" | Blues/Jazz Version Recorded live at The Crimson Curtain Club, Los Angeles, 1938. Down where the Santa Anas blow and dreams hit the silver screen, there was a fellow named Chito Rana$ – eyes that saw through the smog, and a voice that could make a dame forget her troubles. His latest number, "Runaway," ain't just a tune; it's the echo of every whispered promise under the Hollywood sign. The lights dim at The Crimson Curtain Club, down in the thick of the Los Angeles night. A mournful saxophone cries out, answered by a steady thump from the stand-up bass. Chito steps to the mic, looking sharp enough to cut glass, and he starts talkin' about leavin' it all behind – the neon glow of Hollywood Boulevard, the big city hustle of the Central Market, the dames who’ll break your heart just to watch it fall apart. He croons like a man who’s seen too much and felt it all, that unmistakable LA melancholy mixed with a defiance that could only be forged in these sprawling streets. He tells the crowd, "A man's gotta chase his own horizon, even if it's just past the city limits. Don't nobody own your soul but you." The crowd, a mix of studio types and working stiffs, claps and hollers, recognizing a bit of themselves in his blues. Critics are callin' it "the sound of asphalt yearning for open road" – a jazz waltz for the restless spirit, a blues ballad for every angel who ever dared to dream big and then disappeared. It's Chito Rana$ at his most raw: a man who knows a thing or two about making a grand exit. 👉 Chito Rana$ – "Runaway." When the city tries to hold you, sometimes you just gotta go. ───────────────────────── 🔑 THE BACK ROOM The real stuff lives on Patreon — major label covers we can't post here, early access to every drop & fan requests. 👉 patreon.com/c/VintageSlaps 🎸 Bootleg Stash Members Tomas Lechuga ───────────────────────── #ChitoRana #Runaway #VintageSlaps #AIMusic #AIJazz #AIBlues #1950sBlues #BluesRemix #JazzRemix #AICover #VintageBlues #Speakeasy #AIRemix #Cover #AI #Rap #Remix #1950s #1960s #AIRemix #AICover #1960sCover #1950sCover #50sCover #60sCover #Blues #Jazz #JukeJoint #Stockton #BayAreaRap #StocktonRap #BayAreaRapper #JazzCover #SoulCover #BluesCover #BluesVersion #JazzVersion #RapJazzRemix #RapBluesRemix
