Does it Foam?? Bilt Hamber Auto-Wheel | Foam Test with Auto-Wheel | Improved Garage

Three Bilt Hamber products I'd never used - Auto-Wheel, Auto-Wash and Auto-QD - plus Touchless, which I use constantly. These were sent to me a while back and sat on my keep shelf as the only untested bottles up there. I'd meant to buy the whole line once Obsessed Garage brought Bilt Hamber into the US, but that has taken months with nothing happening. Auto-Wheel is a non-acid, non-alkaline wheel cleaner. The bottle just says spray on, dwell, rinse off - no sunlight warning. I ran it straight on the rear wheel of my 2015 GLK, which wears New Speed wheels with a Diamond Protek wheel coating and plenty of nooks and crannies. Immediate purple, dark runs, and after a dwell and a rinse the barrel was completely clean, with no agitation at all. The front wheel - always worse - gave the same result, brake disc fully purple and my fingers clean off the back of the spokes. Genuinely impressive, because a wheel cleaner with no agitation usually isn't this good. It does little for tyres, just wheels. Then Touchless at what I thought was a 2% panel impact ratio through a purple metering tip in my Griot's cannon. I need to own a mistake: I'd been using the reformulated Touchless, which wants 2%, then refilled off my gallon of the old formulation, which wants 5%. So I ran about half the soap I should have, which is why there's less foam than usual. It still broke everything down and took the bugs off. Auto-Wash is a bucket wash concentrate at 2,000:1 - about 10ml in a full 5 gallon bucket - and even at that the foam was ridiculous. No scent at all; no dyes, no perfumes, nothing. If you want no-frills and cheap per wash, that's it, though I'd rather try Auto-Foam since I foam and mitt. Auto-QD I liked. Neat on a wet panel or on glass it's streak-free; on a dry panel in the sun it streaks, which a damp towel fixes. The bottle says mix 50/50 for a streak-free finish, and their site goes further for clay lube and rinseless use. Great fruity scent. The bottle in this video wears a Cleantle sprayer because I don't have the originals, though Bilt Hamber's own white sprayers are good - not adjustable, just on/off, with a good pattern, and they don't fail. My favourite OEM-style sprayers are still the Sprayplast ones that come with Labocosmetica, CarPro and Armour. Worth knowing: much of the Bilt Hamber range is anti-corrosive and sugar-based, which is unusual to see called out. The catch is price - a 1L of Auto-Wheel is about 35 dollars from Carzilla and around 70 on Amazon, against roughly 16 euro in Europe.
