Recently, I traveled for three weeks through Panama with only the Osprey Daylite Expandable 26+6 backpack and a 2-liter fanny pack.
This trip consisted of:
• several days exploring hot and humid Panama City and the Panama Canal
• a small boat trip out to the Pearl Islands
• a jeep and small boat trip to the remote San Blas Islands
• a three-night trip on a live aboard catamaran sailboat
• flights and bus trips to and from the mountain town of Boquete for hiking, zip-lining, and exploring
With so many experiences, I wanted to stay as light as possible. For this trip I packed in the Osprey Daylite 26+6 bag which came to about 15 lb.
This video covers how to pack for a similar trip to a warmer climate with multiple locations, activities, and adventures.
It also shows that you don’t need to pack a lot or have the latest gear to have a great trip.

Hi! I’m Christina. I don’t claim to be a travel expert, but over the last 25 years I have traveled to over 40 countries and have had some amazing and unique adventures…and the stories, tips, and tools to go with them.
Primarily, I travel with my husband (an impressive photographer), but I also travel solo, with friends, and even on tours where we can meet fellow travelers…some who have become friends.
I am now in my 50s and not done exploring.
This channel features not only travel stories and light packing tips, but the philosophy behind travel and how it can profoundly change your life.
No matter what age you are or what life throws at you, never stop exploring.
