First Things First - Invested | Week 5

What is really first in your life? We all have priorities, whether we've intentionally chosen them or not. Look at what gets the first of your time, attention, energy, and money, and you'll quickly discover what matters most. In the final message of our INVESTED series, First Things First, we unpack Jesus' words in Matthew 6:33–34: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Jesus has spent Matthew 6 teaching about treasure, attention, money, worry, and trust. Then He brings everything together with one command: Seek first the Kingdom of God. The question isn't simply whether God is somewhere on your priority list. The question is whether God has authority over the entire list. What you put first determines everything that follows. Biblical stewardship isn't simply asking, “What do I want to do with my money?” A steward asks, “God, what do You want me to do with what You've entrusted to me?” Your money. Your time. Your career. Your abilities. Your relationships. Your opportunities. Your future. Your entire life belongs under the authority of the King. Jesus doesn't promise that putting God first will make you wealthy or remove every difficulty. He reminds us that our Heavenly Father knows what we need. Because He knows, we can obey, give, serve, live generously, take risks for the gospel, and trust Him with tomorrow. The entire INVESTED series has been building toward one question: Who is really first? Treasure. Attention. Allegiance. Trust. Priority. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
