[Verse 1] Friday nights and movies playing Little dreams the world kept waiting A laugh that echoed through the room A thousand flowers yet to bloom You were more than what they wrote More than pictures, more than quotes More than strangers’ eyes could see More than one sad memory [Pre-Chorus] And somewhere there’s a song unsung A thousand things you should’ve done The world keeps turning, days go by But some goodbyes don’t feel right [Chorus] Celeste, Celeste I hope the stars hold you to rest You had a thousand roads ahead A thousand words you never said Celeste, Celeste You deserved the very best Not just a name the world would know But all the years you didn’t get to grow [Verse 2] Someone still remembers your face The little things time can’t erase The Friday nights, the family room The ordinary days we lose too soon And I can’t make the silence speak Or bring back all the years you need But somewhere underneath the pain Your life was more than how it changed [Pre-Chorus] And somewhere there’s a song unsung A thousand things you should’ve done The world keeps turning, days go by But some goodbyes don’t feel right [Chorus] Celeste, Celeste I hope the stars hold you to rest You had a thousand roads ahead A thousand words you never said Celeste, Celeste You deserved the very best Not just a name the world would know But all the years you didn’t get to grow You should’ve seen another spring Felt the joy of ordinary things Had more time to find your way More tomorrows, more birthdays And to the ones who speak your name May love outlive the hurt and pain May no one see you as a case Forget the headlines, see your face Celeste, Celeste The world was meant to give you more More open skies, more unlocked doors More little things worth living for Celeste, Celeste Your name deserves more than regret A life, a laugh, a heart, a soul A story that was never yours to close Fourteen summers… So much left to be. Celeste… You were more than what happened to you. Celeste… May the world remember you. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ #CelesteRivasHernandez #Celeste #JusticeForCeleste #InHerMemory #StudioTreeCreate
