Cleator Moor community raises £22,000 to rebuild destroyed pigeon lofts

In July, leading fanciers Danny Rodgers and Ken Benn woke to be told their lofts had been burned down and over 200 pigeons had died. The Cleator Moor Central club, led by secretary Clare Shaw and flying member Brian Fitzsimmons, instantly started a fundraising project to get the R and B lofts up and racing again. All sorts of ideas to raise money were suggested and most of them tried, with the eventual result that £22,000 was raised.
