Enjoy a 1920s Spillman carousel & 1908 Wurlitzer band organ from Lakewood Amusement Park (Barnesville, PA) at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Wurlitzer band organ plays "Battle Hymn of the Republic," "I Love my Baby," and "That Certain Party." The video concludes with a slideshow of carousel horses from the carousel's impressive wooden menagerie. This Spillman carousel is nearly identical to the one from Ramona Park in East Grand Rapids, MI, which makes it a good fit for the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Carousel rides cost $1 with museum admission, or free with museum membership. Sometimes a CD is playing carousel music instead of the Wurlitzer band organ, but if you ask, the operator will turn on the organ for you.
