MSX Dead of the Brain (English): 8-Bit Halloween Horror #4

Welcome to Episode #4 of our 8-Bit Halloween Horror special! Today, we dive into Dead of the Brain, one of the most intense, visceral zombie horror visual adventures ever released for the MSX standard, developed by Fairytale Hardcover (and translated into English and Spanish for fans). Historical Trivia: Dead of the Brain was part of the renowned Nightmare Collection series created by Fairy Tale. However, out of all the titles in that horror line, only Dead of the Brain ever saw the light of day on MSX, making it an absolute gem and a true rarity for the system compared to its Japanese counterparts on PC-98 and X68000. Want to dive deeper? A couple of years ago, in the final issue of my former retro magazine, I wrote an extensive in-depth review and comparison, breaking down the full history behind Fairy Tale and this cult classic.
