Mystical Hike to the Neu-Leonroth Castle Ruins - DJI Neo Cinematic 4 K Video

A couple of weeks ago, I went to see if I could find the ruins of the Neu- Leonroth Castle. After a magical hike through the woods, the ruins emerged. It is amazing to see how nature has the power to take down such a mighty building. Due to all the trees, it was a challenge to find good angles and to fly the drone in the area. From above, except for a few walls, the Castle is not visible at all anymore. This video is therefore a bit different from the ones I have made until now. Neu-Leonroth was built around 1300 to serve as a strategic medieval hill castle following a shift in the local mountain trade route. Throughout the 14th and 15th centuries, it functioned as defensive fortification and administrative seat. The castle ultimately lost its strategic importance and was completely abandoned, leading to its rapid decay during the 17th century until it was officially documented as a ruin in 1680.
