The land-based portion of our most recent adventure continues with the Dolomites in Northern Italy. We met up with friends Sue and Janna (also featured in our Nepal and Kalymnos videos) to tackle some of the regions most challenging and spectacular via ferrata routes: Sci Club 18, Giuseppe di Olivieri - Gianni Aglio, Cesare Piazzetta and Cesco Tomaselli. All are rated somewhere in the range of D/E (or 5c if using the Cicerone guidebook) indicating a lot of steep, vertical and overhanging terrain, small or slabby footholds and need for physical stamina. These were some of the highlights of our trip and we’re so glad we got to experience them.
