In this video we work on my 1989 super coupe thunderbird and install a homemade turbo kit for only $175 dollars. It has a 3.8 v6 essex ford engine that is supercharged from the factory with a eaton m90 supercharger and single port heads but 250 horsepower wasn't cutting it even though it was fun to drive. We are installing a ebay special gt35 turbo and switching to split port heads that are fully ported by me. We also are going to install a .550 lift roller cam, mls head gaskets , and arp head studs. I am really excited about getting this thing back on the road and taking it to the drag strip.
