Do you feel lonely even when you are surrounded by people?
Maybe you are single and wondering if the life you imagined will ever happen. Maybe you are a widow learning how to live after losing your husband. Maybe you are a young widow facing a future you never expected, or an older widow learning how to live with an absence that still hurts.
Maybe you are a new mother who feels completely alone in the postpartum season. Everyone asks about the baby, but almost no one asks how you are doing. Or maybe you are a single mother carrying responsibilities that sometimes feel too heavy to carry by yourself.
And perhaps you are married, have children, friends, and people around you—but still feel deeply alone inside.
The Bible has something important to say about loneliness.
Scripture does not pretend that God's people never experience abandonment, grief, waiting, or isolation. But it also reveals a God who sees the lonely, cares for widows, strengthens the weary, and promises never to abandon His people.
In this video, we will look at loneliness through Scripture and reflect on passages including Psalm 27:10, Genesis 2:18, Psalm 68:5–6, 1 Samuel 1, Luke 7, 2 Timothy 4:16–17, Isaiah 40:31, Hebrews 13:5, Matthew 28:20, and Revelation 21:4.
We will talk about singleness, widowhood, motherhood, postpartum loneliness, single motherhood, grief, waiting, and the painful feeling of being forgotten.
But this is not a message promising that God will simply send you a husband, change your circumstances, or make loneliness disappear.
The biblical hope is deeper than that.
You can be alone without being abandoned.
You can be waiting without being forgotten.
You can be grieving without being without hope.
And you can need people without being far from God.
If you are walking through a lonely season, I hope this message reminds you of what Scripture says: *God sees you. God knows you. And He has not forgotten you.*
If this message encourages you, share it with a woman who may need to hear it today.
And if loneliness is affecting your mental or emotional health, please consider seeking support from a qualified mental health professional, a physician, and trusted people in your community or church.
*The Hope That Remains* — biblical truth, honest encouragement, and hope in God for the struggles of real life.
