Cupcake Core Drilling & Drillin' For Doh

In this video we will review why mining is necessary, how you use minerals in your day to day lives, the mineral exploration process, the different types of drill rigs used in mineral exploration and we will get to see how the drill rigs operate. We will conclude with an activity where we will drill a layered cupcake or a layered pile of play-doh. From our drill holes we will be able to generate a diagram, referred to as a cross-section, representing the inside of our model. Let's go explore.
