Roman: Dil mein agar na hogi mohabbat ki roshni Kar na sakoge door zamane se teergi English: If the light of love does not illuminate your heart, You will never be able to dispel the darkness of the world. 2. Roman: Bebas dikhai deta hai har samt aadmi Majboor aadmi ki hui aaj zindagi English: Mankind appears helpless in every direction today, For modern life has rendered humanity powerless and constrained. 3. Roman: Insaaniyat ko milti nahi jis se roshni Us zindagi ko kaise kahunga main zindagi English: A life that fails to beam hope and enlightenment onto humanity— How can I truly call such an existence a life? 4. Roman: Behad ho faayda jo tijaarat mein to samajh Hai char din ki jaise andhere mein chandni English: If commerce brings you bounds of immense profit, remember: It is fleeting, like brief moonlight destined to return to darkness. 5. Roman: Ehsan karke taana jo dete hain baar baar Ehsan un ka lene se behtar hai bebasi English: From those who constantly taunt after conferring a favour, Enduring helpless struggle is far better than accepting their charity. 6. Roman: Nuqsan karke auron ka jo khush bhi hote hain Kaam aayegi naamaz na hi un ki bandagi English: Those who take delight in inflicting harm upon others— Neither their formal prayers nor their devotion will avail them. 7. Roman: Jis shaayeri se milta nahi hai koi sabaq Masood kaam ki nahi hoti wo shaayeri English: Poetry that fails to impart a meaningful lesson, O Masood! Such poetry holds no true value or purpose. Ghazal in Urdu: اسباق زندگی دل میں اگر نہ ہوگی محبت کی روشنی کر نہ سکوگے دور زمانے سے تیرگی بے بس دکھائی دیتا ہے ہر سمت آدمی مجبور آدمی کی ہوئی آج زندگی انسانیت کو ملتی نہیں جس سے روشنی اُس زندگی کو کیسے کہوں گا میں زندگی بے حد ہو فائدہ جو تجارت میں تو سمجھ ہے چار دن کی جیسے اندھیرے میں چاندنی احسان کرکے طعنہ جو دیتے ہیں بار بار احسان ان کا لینے سے بہتر ہے بے بسی نقصان کرکے اوروں کا جو خوش بھی ہوتے ہیں کام آئے گی نماز نہ ہی ان کی بندگی جس شاعری سے ملتا نہیں ہے کوئی سبق مسعودؔ کام کی نہیں ہوتی وہ شاعری Enjoyed the ghazal.
