Anemoia in Centrale Markthal ▹ Lena Rigel [live performance]

Anemoia describes nostalgia for a time or place one has never experienced. It's a false or imagined longing for a past era. Inspired by the history and transformation of a Centrale Markthal, Lena decided to translate the unnamed feelings of the location into sound. The performance was recorded live with a semi-hardware setup and relied heavily on field recordings. One prominent thing that explores the concept of time is a continuous, massive reverb of the space that was recorded simultaniously capturing every movement and change of the space. Devices used: Ableton Push 2, Arturia DrumBrute Impact, Shure SM58, Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator Modular 400, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
