This video is part of the "Made for You" series, where I film part of the making of a particular pendant for a customer, because... You know it's nice to see your purchase being made. 😏
This is one of my favourite Mjolnir designs... It features both the classic looped bail, which you get to see how it's made for the first time. The design also features the central ridge, a design element that started off as purely accidental back in our early days of making Mjolnirs. It gives the pendant a modern touch that combines in a unique way with the historical shape of the bail.

This film was entirely filmed, edited and published on my mobile phone. As much as I love the look of the dslr cameras, I wanted to try an easier approach to filming. Besides the point, both my computers are archaic enough not to be able to do the editing and until they stop building data centres for AI and making new computers so expensive, a computer upgrade is on hold... So I am using the most powerful device I have.
The experience has been interesting. There is, a lot of the cool editing stuff I can't do, and it's really hard to be exact on where to add the text. But on the other hand, you do get to enjoy a higher resolution.
The audio is entirely on the phones own microphone, though I might try and use external ones in the next one, so that the audio doesn't jump from moving the camera around.
I do miss my graphics though...
Little Taitaya trivia now.. Notice the chalk marks, which are actually soapstoneon the bar of metal? I forge in groups of three, the soapstone was there to indicate and help me keep track that this is the very same pendant from start to finish. It will have arrived now to its owner in Germany, with some cool silver inlay.
