The Tratzberg Castle is a typical medieval residential area where once true knights spent their time. Going up there on foot or by the small slow train on a warm summer's day will deserve you a real pleasure. In the castle itself, they offer regular indoor sightseeing tours where the visitors each get a audioguide. So, while walking through the rooms and aisles of the medieval building, you will learn a lot about the old days some hundred years ago. During your stroll within the castle you will visit different living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms a small included chapel and the huge and well equipped armory. That is so amazing! There, one of the old knights tells you something about his story of fights and weapons. Swords, canons and canon balls make you become quite astonished with what kind of devices they were defending their lives back then. I felt so great in there, become it delivers you such a special feeling -- when you think back of all the knight and medieval people who had been living in there. And you as a visitor are lucky to enter those spaces of honor and history loading. Once you've managed to get through the whole thing, you end up in a small but well equipped souvenir shop - I only tried the knight jellies. A souvenir shop is usually about much ship, but nevertheless you always have the notion that you need the shit.
