• Muse - Uprising [Official Video]
Today I’m reacting to Muse – “Uprising” for the first time, and after hearing these lyrics, I have one question… should I get my tinfoil hat?!
This was my first time hearing “Uprising” by Muse, and I was NOT prepared for how massive this song sounds. That bass line immediately grabs you, but once I started paying attention to Matt Bellamy’s vocals and the lyrics, things got even more interesting.
Control. Power. Manipulation. Resistance. Breaking free from the system?
Beyond the message, though, Muse absolutely delivers musically. The driving rhythm, huge chorus, distorted guitars, electronic elements, and almost futuristic atmosphere make “Uprising” feel like an anthem built for an entire stadium to sing together.
In this Muse Uprising reaction, I break down my first impressions of the song, the meaning behind the lyrics, Matt Bellamy’s performance, the instrumentation, and why this track became such a massive rock anthem.
Now I need the Muse fans to help me out: Am I reading too much into these lyrics, or is the tinfoil hat officially justified?
