Inkscape Tutorial: How to Make Minimalist Map Art (OpenStreetMap Data)

Inkscape step-by-step beginner-intermediate tutorial on how to create custom minimalist map art as seen on Etsy. Follow along in this Inkscape screen capture showing how to: 1. Use OpenStreetMap to download your map data as an editable SVG file. 2. Create specific dimensions to your map and poster / wall art. 3. Modify the OpenStreetMap data inside of Inkscape. 4. Clean up the map using Edit - Select Same tool in Inkscape 5. Change your map to a high contrast grayscale image. 6. Add custom selected pops of color. 7. Crop and clip final map into the desired dimensions.
