Overnight Hike // Scenic Rim Region // Mt. Barney // Queensland, AU

📍Mt Barney, Scenic Rim Region in QLD, Australia This long gruelling 15km trail hike through Mount Barney is a monstrous peak with an elevation of 1354m. Be sure to pack enough water, snacks and wear comfortable hiking boots for support when climbing through high-risky terrain. Unfortunately we did not reach the East Peak before nightfall as planned but camped close enough to it before we lost the sunlight. We had set up camp on the side of the mountain which we were less than 1km away from the Rum Jungle camp site. It was a race to beat the thunderstorm which was rumbling right towards us.
