Grateful Dead 11-11-70 complete

Complete GD performance from 11-11-70, first of 4 nights at the 46th St. Rock Palace in Brooklyn, NY. Huge thanks to David Minches for the tape transfer and Charlie Miller for the remastering. I’ve cut about an hour’s worth of dead air and tuning out, but ended up leaving a fair amount just so you can hear the room and some stage banter and some fun song teases in between the songs. But i’ve also added track markers so you can skip those portions. This does not include the NRPS set, which i may later put out under separate cover. The story of how this happened is in the liner notes of Dave’s Picks 51. Peter had given me the soundboard recordings of the first and last shows of that run, which we ended up sending to the Dead’s vault. At the time we thought those were the only tapes. After Peter’s death, we discovered a few more tapes. Big thanks to Jesse Jarnow and David Lemieux for helping me figure out which shows these had to be. I sent them to David Lemieux and Jeffrey Norman for consideration for a commercial release. They and Rhino ultimately decided to pass due to challenges with the tape quality. There are no tapes of some of these shows, not even known set lists, or very poor tapes of some with incomplete or incorrect setlists, so I’m excited to share these with the world. The first stuff i shared was just from my own attempts, but Charlie Miller agreed to remaster these tapes so huge thanks to him.
