In 1936, Madame Savoye wrote to Le Corbusier: “It's raining in the hall. It's raining on the ramp.” That house — Villa Savoye — was almost taken to court, almost demolished, and then became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I walk you through the whole house on site, explain the five points that made it famous, why it leaked, and three lessons for any flat roof. 👉 Projects, drawings and more European architecture: https://portfolio.hotrongnhan.org?utm... ⏱ Chapters: 0:00 Intro 0:46 A weekend house 1:35 Five points that changed architecture 3:06 Walking through a machine 5:55 Then the rain came 6:57 Almost lost 8:37 Masterpiece or failure? 9:17 Three lessons for flat roofs 📚 Open-access sources: • Caccia Gherardini S., Olmo C.
