Kreutzer Etude #7 (Peters) Kim Kaloyanides Kennedy, violin

This etude involves a LOT of string crossings with a kind of martelé bow stroke. As usual, I greatly dislike etudes sounding like some boring exercise. I want only music, but when the technique actually gets difficult, like 4 lines from the bottom, it makes it oh so challenging to do either goal!! Today, I felt the urge to record, thinking that I would just "practice" the etude and record another time, I stayed dressed in my running clothes...well, as you can see, I didn't quite do as planned. I recorded in my running clothes! lol Here you have Kreutzer #7 from the Peters edition. What is your best tip for string crossings and weird fingerings? I found keeping fingers down and feeling the half step shift helped a bunch in that bar 4 lines from the end!
