Wyberton Level Crossing

Wednesday July 4 2018 at 11.51. The 11.15 Skegness to Nottingham (13.23) train. This is on the western edge of Boston, Lincolnshire. In terms of vehicle numbers it is the 5th busiest level crossing in the country. The road junction behind it had already caused a queue of traffic before the barriers lowered. Over 50 cars were waiting on the far side. The line here is single track with a passing place at Boston Station. Boston is a town of 58,000 people 100 miles north of London. It has 4 level crossings plus this one, one on its northern edge and one that is virtually disused. Trying to get around Boston without using a level crossing must be tricky.
