In this step-by-step tutorial, we’ll walk through Mapping Composer, MediaCraft’s browser-based tool for creating motion content for projection mapping, LED walls and installations. Start with a photo, colour mask or SVG, or draw your own shapes on a blank canvas. Define the surfaces you want to animate, then choose a preset and make it your own. Use the live preview to see how changes to colour, lighting, movement and timing work with the original layout. When your composition is ready, choose an export resolution and format that suit your playback setup. Mapping Composer can render at up to 8192 × 8192 in HAP, HAP Alpha and ProRes 4444. You can explore the editor and preview your work for free with a verified account. Paid exports include a lifetime commercial licence for your own projects and commissioned client work. Play your video in the tools you already use Projection mapping and live shows — Bring your exported video into Resolume, Millumin, PIXERA, Disguise or MadMapper for playback. Digital signage — Use your videos on retail screens, lobby displays and outdoor LED installations with platforms and players such as BrightSign, Samsung VXT, LG SuperSign, Scala, ScreenCloud, OptiSigns and Yodeck.
