From Forgotten Heroes to a Free India | 80th Independence Day 2026 | Independence Day Special

This Independence Day, Brainware University pays tribute to the brave souls who fought for India’s freedom—many of whose names deserve to be remembered. Through the powerful symbolism of Mother India, evocative shadowgraphy, archival visuals and the timeless melody of Vande Mataram, this presentation journeys through the stories of revolutionary voices and unsung heroes who challenged colonial rule and kept the dream of freedom alive. From Sidhu-Kanhu and Birsa Munda to Bina Das, Ullaskar Dutta, Kanaklata Barua, Pritilata Waddedar and Masterda Surya Sen, we remember the courage, sacrifice and conviction that shaped India’s freedom struggle. As the silhouettes of these heroes come together with Mother India, their stories become one collective message—freedom was not gifted; it was earned through courage and sacrifice. This year, as India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, Brainware University joins the nation in remembering those who made our freedom a reality, while celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram.
