Follow the family's journey on the facebook page, "Grace For the Grieving" "I can remember sitting in FCA in middle and high school and throughout Bible studies and speakers in college and just being in awe listening to other people’s testimonies. Hearing how God brought them out of things like addiction and alcohol, how He was faithful even when they had turned from the Church and His word, how He was the Father they knew they needed since their earthly family was broken. I remember hearing these stories and thinking about how they can reach others so powerfully and be such an inspiration as to what God can do. I can remember thinking that my testimony is “boring”, being raised in church, being blessed with a loving family and basically being naive to all of the evil that can happen in this world. I have always been thankful for my raising and that I never had to experience the things that I had heard others talk about, but I did feel that my testimony wasn’t nearly as inspiring as others. I’d tell people about Jesus, but I didn’t have the hair raising, edge of your seat redemption story that I had heard others tell. To be honest, I sometimes used that as an excuse in my mind to not share my testimony because I thought how could someone who had experienced such a hard life relate to a story like mine. Six weeks ago today, on the night of July 5th, as I sat in a back room of the ER holding my lifeless 7 month old daughter, I knew I had a choice. I could either choose to turn my back on God because of the pain I was experiencing or I had to seek His face because I’ve seen my whole life that He stays the same, even when circumstances around me may change. I may never know why our beautiful girl declined so rapidly that night or why all the prayers that she would survive were answered with a “no”. But I’ll tell you what I do know. I know that God promises that all things work together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). He loves me enough to keep a record of all my sorrows, not allowing a single tear to be wasted (Psalm 56:8). His power is perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). He is my rock and my fortress (Psalm 18:2). He is the restorer of my soul (Psalm 23). My heart is broken, but He is near to me and saves my crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). This is my story. This is my testimony. I’ll tell of God’s goodness for the rest of my days. I’ll tell of how the enemy wanted me to turn my back, to leave the faith because my precious baby is no longer in my arms. I’ll tell of how my family came out of this stronger than ever, confusing hell and frustrating Satan’s plans because we refused to give him a foothold. God is here. He has never left me. And each second that passes gets me one step closer to seeing and holding my baby girl again. Thank you, Jesus, for the promise of heaven. 🤍 #infantlossawareness #infantlosssupport #infantloss #childlossawareness #childlossgrief #childloss"
