In 1940 a man in a trance, Edgar Cayce, said part of Atlantis, which he called Poseidia, would rise again, and he gave a date: "'68 and '69." His earlier readings had already placed Atlantis near Bimini in the Bahamas. In September 1968 three divers swam off North Bimini and saw half a mile of huge flat stones, laid edge to edge, curling into a hook. It became one of the most famous stretches of seabed in the world.
This video lays out what is actually documented about the Bimini Road: the prediction, the 1968 find, what geologists call beachrock, the seventeen cores that tested whether the stones were ever moved, the radiocarbon date, the puzzle of why a beach sits fifteen feet underwater, and what the surveys found when they looked for a second layer and tool marks.
