UPDF Promotions: 66 Generals and Colonels Decorated in Mbuya

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces has promoted 473 general, senior and junior officers in a move that will see them take on greater responsibilities within the force. The promotions come as the UPDF strengthens its leadership and national Defence capacity with the newly elevated officers expected to fill gaps within the force and contribute to ensuring the safety and security of the nation. The promoted officers have pledged to uphold the values of the force, including supporting the fight against corruption as Deputy Chief of Defence Forces Lt.
