Waterloo Central Railway’s Budd RDC-9 No. 6006 D22-AR air brake service portion developed a leak which after a brake application would release the brakes with seconds of the application … this type of defect in the brake valve requires the valve to be removed from the car and disassembled to inspect, clean, oil, test, and stencil (COT&S) a new inspection date on the valve.
