He cleaned the church for nine years. His mentor said he cared more about his soul than his gift. Welcome back to The Legacy Table by Just Angie. Apostle Angie Murenga sits down with Pastor CN David, a pastor and businessman with 25 years in ministry and a heart for discipling young people. It begins with a father who named him before he was born and a teenager who gave his life to Christ in a toilet at 15. From there, a mentor sent him to clean the church and kept him there for 9 years. Pastor CN David explains what that taught him about character, and why he believes discipleship is a way of life and not a programme. They talk about what Gen Z and millennials are really asking the church for, why he defines religion as trying to become like God without God, and what ministry costs that people rarely see. Then the personal ground. Why he waited until 39 to marry, the image in his mind that kept him delayed, and the three and a half years away from ministry he calls his season of eating grass.
