After ranking every Worlds anthem the comments were unanimous: watch the opening ceremonies, the live versions are a different experience. They were right. So this is all thirteen Worlds opening ceremonies, 2013 through 2025, watched for the first time and ranked as I go. Zed and Ignite, Legends Never Die, RISE, Phoenix, K/DA, True Damage, the Arcane show open, HEARTSTEEL, Linkin Park - and a few years I had no idea existed. At the end I put this tier list next to the anthems one to see whether the songs I loved on their own hold up when they're performed live on the biggest stage in esports. The answer surprised me.
