Hard-Rock DTH Hammer Drilling Test — 145 MPa UHPC Test Cylinders | TOPDRILL (Mokgam, Korea 2024)

In June 2024 TOPDRILL ran a controlled hard-rock drilling test at our Mokgam test yard in Korea. Instead of natural rock — which varies too much for a fair comparison — we cast seven UHPC (ultra-high-performance concrete) cylinders at 145 MPa compressive strength (SGS-tested), buried them flush with the ground, and drilled them with the same rig, the same compressor and the same bit. Only the hammer changed.
